Like almost everyone will say today… my Mom is the best.
She truly is, she dedicated her life to my sister, brother and I. I really really don’t know where I would be today without her. I was a very troubled youth, by my own doing. I got very caught up in very bad things and through it all my Mother gave me love. I don’t even know how many times I made her cry or how many sleepless nights she had wondering about my well-being. I am so sorry for doing that – and now as a Mother myself, I can’t imagine going through it.
But I made my life great. I am so happy and so complete and I don’t really know if I would be able to say that if it weren’t for my Mom.
I think back at times when I was a child at school. Once in a while when I opened my lunch sack at school there would be a card tucked in between my apple and my sandwich. When I opened it – colorful confetti would fall all over my hands and the lunch table. Inside the card would simply say, “I’m proud of you, I love you. Love, Mom.”
Here’s to you Mom, and all of the Moms around the world – for taking care of us when we need it the most and for making us all feel loved and special every day of our lives.
And for my first ever Mother’s Day myself, I’m spending it with the women I adore the most, my Mother & Daughter.
