You take a 20 minute drive and you are in the middle of a redwood forest.
Breathing up here just feels better. It’s cold and fragrant and it feels like pure untainted oxygen. Something, most of us city-folk ain’t used to.
Spending the day in the forest was not our intention. We planned on just going up for a quick walk. We didn’t even bring lunch or water (Sadie of course had hers, but no adult lunch or water that wasn’t in a sippy cup.) But, time kind of seems to just evaporate when you are on the outskirts of cell phone reception and can’t reach a wifi signal.
Anyways, we ended up spending 4 hours there. Just walking and talking. Pure and simple.
